Wastewater Management

We are delighted to introduce our Modulus and Retro sewage treatment systems. Modulus is our versatile modular treatment plant which features proven process technology in a traditional 3-chamber design. Having a modular design MODULUS can be installed is a variety of footprints giving it great versatility and flexibility one site. The range is designed for sewage loadings from 6 to 100 population equivalents.

How Our Sewage Treatment Plant Works :

1.   Waste water enters the primary settlement chamber of the septic sewage treatment plant. Heavy solids drop to the base and are separated from the liquid. Anaerobic breakdown occurs improving water quality (up to 30%), producing a secondary effluent. Suspended solids are filtered out by the screen filter on the outlet from the chamber.

2.    The second stage of the sewage treatment system involves masses of naturally occurring bacteria that inhabit specially designed filter media beds. The bacteria feeds on the impurities, and are proliferated with air, there is a by-product called sludge, which gathers at the bottom of the module where it is continuouslyfed back to chamber 1, this process enhances the performance.

3.    The treated liquid now passes through a secondary screening process for final polishing of the liquid from the aeration chamber, thus entering the final settlement module of the sewage treatment plant. The remaining treated liquid now meets the required discharge quality standard to be safely passed out of the septic tank sewage treatment system into the watercourse or soak away.

4.    After the final treatment chamber, we strongly recommend that you install a Sample or Inspection chamber to monitor the discharge of your sewage system, downstream. Both your local water supplier and the Environment Agency will require this in their consent.

Features

All our Modulus septic tank sewage treatment plants feature specially designed filter media, which has been designed to increase the efficiency of the biological process. This filter media provides excellent ventilation with an exceptional void area speeding up and improving the aerobic reaction in the bio zone or main treatment chamber. Some of the key benefits of our Modulus sewage treatment systems are listed below:
